Super drained up recently thats why no mood to update.....

3 more weeks to exams le...... rushing thru all the stuff i need to do and revising at the same time...... its killing me man..... but its gonna b worth it at the end...... must FOCUS on my goal and push forward!!!

Come to think of it.... We humans. although can speak the same language which supposedly enables us to understand one another, still can get tangled up with one another's thoughts seh....
We would even assume about how the people ard us think (especially those closer to us) and alwaes find out in the end to be ulterly wrong......

i was able to use my fone de cam to capture the view of the microscope....!!

Need alot of skills to do this de lorhx.... cos human eyes and cam lens not very the same... so u have to really focus and try alot of angles to actually achieve these pictures... Its my blood smear... a thin layer of blood.... those blue dots are my lymphocytes!! hahax... prevent dieseaes and infection in my body de!!

Finally, my job ended yesterday, slightly earlier then expected.... but nevertheless, ive had enough of that job le..... aleady hit the amount i want to earn in the semester break and im satisfied le...... Now can finally have a good 1 and a half weeks of break.......

Today's my first official and formal holiday!!!
Had a 'hot' date with my dear classmate........ hahax.... thx for accompanying me thru out the day arhx....... as i made u walk ard bugis village, the place where u get tempted to spend the most....
Aiya...... act come to tink of it, never take sum pics together..... wad a waste..... hahax......

Went to marina to have our dinner and movie.... Miami Vice is a gd show peeps..... juz that the ending is quite a letdown.... but the rest of the show is gd.... esp the fighting part, power packed and *stunning* ( sum1 kena shocked quite a few times arhx....=X )

Went thru 2 lessons on my church's new marriage series called "Making your marriage work 2006" ..... it has been super impactful to me ba...... Quite abit of character shaping done thruout the weekend....... and its only lesson 2...... hahax 12 more to come.....

Lesson 1 : wad is a marriage => isit a contract with an escape clause?
=> the 8 purposes of marriage
Lesson 2 : all about the roles of couples and the roles of their parents and in laws......

hahax there too much details le....... its really really gd...... want to know more can go watch our services live online on sat n sun ba...... hahax ..... really looking forward to the part on how to keep ur marriage affair proof...... hahax although im nt planning to get married any sooner...... but this sets my thinking right ba......

The last CCTA lab..... disection of these mice....... actually tot must kill them ourselves by pulling the tail, but they were gased to death using 99.8% carbon dioxide.... literally suffocate to death...wasnt a very pleasant sight ba, well.... this is life arhx....
Many of them released their bowels after they suffocated.... heard from my brother, who is a police coast guard officer..... last time went for prison training, instructors say that it is the same as for human.... when those people who gt capital punishment, they will release their bowels when they die.... cos all the muscles relaxed once death sets in.......
My team's mouse..... kena sprayed with 70% ethanol before disecting it.... i didnt disect it this time, audrey volunteered herself to do it..... tt was brave man....... haahx

The 2 pics above are the liquid-gas chromatography machines...... aint those simple colour separation thingy we learn in p sch or sec sch.... hahahx so in depth study of the industrial chromatography learnt in this mod called INSTRUMENTATION...
The next machine coming up........ the HPLC....... hahax can see the name very clearly arhx for this pic...... haven get to use this matchine yet...... next week ba...... its these 2 machines are the 2 out of the 3 machines of this module for this semester.....
Think the biggest diff bet these 2 machines is the state of the substances that are involved in separation... the mobile phase and the stationary phases are diff ba..... hahax
Ohh yeah....... invaded a new premises in my sch ytd..... during the instru lab ...... hahax went into the Bioprocess Tech lab...... wah dam exp seh the machines...... All these are wad we call the FERMENTATORS.....dam exp lorhx....... we gt 4 of the small ones like the one above....^
And this huge one......... there's only one in the whole school seh...... the 100k machine!!! *faintx* never knew it would cost that much...... understand why we pay so much school fees le.....

Will be taking the bioprocess tech in year 3...... will have a chance to use this machine le.!! hahahx....... act i think life sci courses in poly is the most worthwhile de norhx, i mean the sch fees we pay..... in sec sch u break test tube need to pay liaox...... hahax here dunno break how many test tubes, pipettes, volumetric flasks and so on..... gloves in one lab dunno change how many pairs...... After peeling the egg membrane..... the contents of the egg can be seen quite clearly le......Its gross to sum pple ba? hahax when i was doing this, i was not nervous at all.... i was prepared for the gross scenes, but the pictures below exceeded my expectations..... =X But i kept my cool... hahax
Alrite....... this is it...... the contents of the egg is poured out in a petri-dish..... those faint hearted de should reconsider if u wanna continue reading this post ba....... hahax.... Notice the right hand corner... tts the 10 day old chick embryo.....
This is the whole chick embryo.... its very small ba...... like 1 inch nia...... to sum of my classmates, we were debating about experimenting with animals... but its the only way to learn and benefit our society in the future.... All these are necessary marhx...... everywhere around the world researchers are doing animal tests before doing any on us humans...The body of the chick is mashed up before we can cultivate fibroblast cells, which are simply chicken skin cells..... Using only the body of the embryo.... Actually come to tink of it, if this chick hatches in the farm where the school brought from, they will end up in one of our plates one day also.... and it will feel much pain if tt happens.... But at this stage it will not feel any pain.....
The mashed up body of the embryo is transfered into a 50ml centrifuge tube immersed in PBS (Phosphate Buffered Saline)..... Sumthing like ur contact lens solution ba.... alot more steps are taken to finish the whole primary cell line.....

The Liquid Nitrogen Tanks for the storage of vials of the cell cultures for years..... -196 degrees worx... must wear those special gloves, heard its made from the same materials for space suits.... the first time experience for me....

In a new module called 'CCTA' or Cell Culture and Tissue Applications..... This is the practical room delicated to this module de students only on the 8th floor of block 80 of LSCT!!!!!!! this is one of the more chim microscopes available in the labs, its called a 'Inverted facelift Microscope" Its connected directly to the desktop so that multiple students can observe a T-flask of culture simultaneously.....
A closer look at the chim microscope... hahax the objectives are located below the sample and the light comes from above, that is how it gets it's name of being inverted, when compare to the normal bright-field microscopes....

This instrument over here i am also very amazed at it... still dont know what it does, most prob its for containing larger amounts of culture or media under certain pressures or temperatures? that i am not too sure but it sure caught my attention in the first practical lesson on CCTA... The year 2 semesters are of so much difference compared to year 1, every practical have to do reports and quizzes..... study n study right from the first week of the semester..... and the new Inter-disciplinary Studies module is the IandE(Innovation and Enterprise) and we have a real dumb teacher who brought us year 2 students for the ICT year 1 students orientation game and scolded us for not participating..... i dont think we are going to have a pleasant time with him for the rest of this semester......oh well~

wahhahax...... todae is my first time donating blood, so abit excited larhx... Paiseh arhx... hahax this pic above is my 450ml blood pack!!!! Whee...... when it was done, feel so gd abt myself and tt pack of blood being taken away to help save some lives.... tt sense of satisfaction is great...!!
*ouch* hahax.... tts the needle that's in my arm...... and the flow path of the blood down to the bag in the previous pic... its nt as bad as u guys think larhx, during the process i think the most pain de is the finger prick to test ur blood type ba... so yeah those out there who are scared and dare nt donate blood, pls think again alrite? really..... its juz like 2 sec of pain, den its more or less over liaox.....removing the needle is totally painless de and the process of letting the blood flow is juz abit sore nia... the blood we donate can b separated into 3 parts, the Red Blood Cells, the Plasma and the Platelets.... and can help nt juz one patient worx.... so do consider it again......

And his really a small thing..... his weight at birth is only like erm, 3kg plus?
Now i think he should be around 4kg le ba..... but his really light compared to the one below...

Winston's Elder Brother.... Marcus.... dont think his really new in my blog le..... Just hit his 2nd year and his getting smarter and naughtier each day!!! I call him mong gu zai( Mongolian boy) wahhax cos of his new hair cut.... this pic was taken when his in his 'sarong' slping soundly.... cos my Nokia 3230 is really old.... the cam alwaes lagg for like 3 sec b4 it takes its shot after i click... so its very hard to take a snapshot of him when his awake.... this boy is super duper active.... And his vocab pool is getting better and better le.... can speak loads of things le.... almost anything that we say he hears and imitates it very well, but of cos, with a cute n kiddy voice... hahax..... his strength and brains is one that i have never met b4 from any 2 yr old kid in my life.. My mum have been babysitting ever since i was born... so have seen loads of kids but none can b compared to this nephew of mine..... he can climb wrought iron gates n reach the celling of my hse, climb up a long and winding slide in the playground, but most of all, when i took of my slippers to climb, he understood tt principle and took of his as well.... hahahx

hmm didnt do as well as i expected to do ba...... when i received my results via sms from NP i was totally shocked by what i saw on my fone..... i gt so many C grades this sem! argh.... was super fustrated and i thought i can do much better compared to my first semester...... but my GPA is lower than my last semester......all my normal work and my common tests results were good and my exam papers was done well too i thought.....
hmm.... was disappointed for a few hours during my work..... but gt over it soon....... no point pondering over things of the past le..... have to change my study methods and my life style le ba... deleted all the games in my laptop including Warcraft....... getting rid of DOTA once and for all le.....
Monday going to take off from work and go down to NP to appeal for review of my papers and see what went really wrong ba....

Nevertheless, things gt well after that..... finally i got back my gd gd friend after a 2 mths ordeal ba...... hahax =x and i also gt a new pet mehmeh le...... hahahax the top 2 most close pple in my life are here aleady!! so glad that they are in my life, definitely cant do without both of u...... All the best for the nt sem in TP ah! hahax jia you!!!

ohh man, looking back at the previous blog post, was so excited abt my new job, but after a week, my feeling for it totally changed 180 degress....
have to wake up at 5.45am everydae and work til like 5.30pm and at times we are forced todo OT..... really sucky...... work non stop except for the 45mins lunchbreak.... cant talk to other pple, do slow abit kena scold..... really feel like kena lock in prison sia......
And the pay is not attractive at all lorhx.... but make us work like crazy, trying to squeeze every bit of us(temp workers) .......
Yesterdae kena scolded by my supervisor, for nt staying for OT....... but he didnt tell me anything b4 hand n only told me that at 5.30pm when i was about to go off...... dam attitude lorhx tt guy..... think his trying to show his authority in that place.....
Went to tell the people in charge of the recruitment and fortunately Carol is a very nice lady, help me to explian to tt guy..... but i guess his gonna 'tekan' us even more on mon......
Need to drag my feet to work on mon le...... hope i can end this season of 'torment' quick.....

But nevertheless, there is sum good news for me larhx... hahax gt back in contact with my gd fren le...... hmm yeayea ur here to stay definitely..... the past mth should b kind of a trial for me to help me handle things better from now onwards...... wun disappoint u le!!!!! try my utmost best, i *promise*......!!

This 3 pics are taken in our church service!! Quality nt very gd larhx but hahax i tried my best.. its Delirious in Singapore Expo! Long awaited weekend for many of us and the whole hall jammed packed with pple... 7000 seated audi totally packed to the brim....

Like wad Pastor said, they juz came from Australia and their tour concert tix are sold at the minimum A$50 sia.... aniwae A$ is slightly stronger den S$... hahahax and we have them here in our service for free arhx! hahax how cool ca that b? The way Martin Smith sings is really one of a kind... i tink i prefer UK bands then American those super hard n loud bands lorhx... cant understand wad their singing de, but Delirious is definitely different... Their bassist and guitarist are all of the top standards and las nite's mini concert was totally awesome man! Just hope they can come at least every year to Singapore cos we all love their music!! They are the top few Christian bands ard the world and they are classified as Secular, Comtemporary Christian band! hahax... long name there but they are... their new albums are found at any good record stores out there... ahahx

On da faithful dae of 25th jan 2006, all da polytechnics annouced that the sch fees for all students will increase by $50 from nt sem onwards.... So sianx rite all da polytechnic students out there? We alwaes wanted to b treated the same as the JC students, like have the $27.50 bus concession and student rate bus n train prices.. but now we are look upon as adults, when our age are about the same.... hmm now comes this sch fees increment... hmm things dun seems too gd afterall in this year's chinese new year... they said the reason for the increase is because of new sch like RP will be moving to their new campus and tts y they need to increase their sch fees... that sounds fair enuff, but wad about the rest of the polys? hmm.......

Ohh yeah the above pic is one of the new Water/Oil bath machines in our IPC labs... gt 4 new ones... hahax i tink tts the things they invested with our sch fees ba...

Hmm whole week of common test and tml is fri my physio paper which marks the end of my common test... after which will be another 1.5mths or slightly lesser than tt to my final semester exams liaox... like so fast 2nd sem gonna end liaox and i am gonna be yr 2 student le!! hahax yeah but this common test went on smoothly and have that kind of gd feeling about it after every paper... =)
Its really been quite sumtime since i had this kind of feeling after any test or exams arhx...

Its a yearly event where we will get together and thank God for all He has done for us thruout the year... still rmb las yr's thxgiving cg at Madeline's hse was like so touching arhx... its like the only time i cried in the whole of 2004... this year our gift for Brother Kelvin was more special also... had a self composed song by our 2 talented guitarists and *bassist* ( if there's such a word) haha Hong Peng and Elisha... its really a nice song man.... well done guys!!! =)

This is famous Christmas Pizza for this year!! haha juz ate this for supper not long ago... aniwae my blog like cant add real timing liaox.. so yea my posting de timing is not rite de... No matter how gd Pizza Hut is, they are still quite limited in sumwae or another... They took quite abit of time to deliever and also they 4gt to cut the pizza..... had to tear it ourself.... so dumb.....=x And the cheese aint as attractive as the advertisement.... like flowing out of the crust that kind? its quite solid real life.... so yeah b4 u order a stuff crust pizza nt time, do think thru abit... isit worth $32.45?? look at this banner outside the SIM canteen n foodcourt... wahhax smoke free campus...... this is the most ridiculous banner i have ever seen man.... that area is the smokers heaven lorhx and they think by puting tt banner on they can stop the students from smoking there...... 12pm is the peak hrs there... there will be like at least 30 smokers standing outside there smoking and inside of SIM close to like 50 to 80 smokers.. hahax its one big problem down there and i doubt it can be solved so fast ba..... maybe by 1 jan 2007 ba? hahax and mayb the students will leave sch juz to smoke.... if they really impose this policy.... but the environment gonna b better for us ba? i guess........

And lastly the Spectrophotometer!! btu den sianx larhx kena blocked by dunno who's pract book and pencil case..... hahax but still can roughly see rite? it can determine the degree of light absorbtion of any solution.... cool aye? =x and the stand on top of the pencil case is the stand of micropipettes ..... u will never see all such stuff in any fully govt funded sch.... hahax one of this spectrophotometer cost like 15k each? hahax centrifudge also ard there... spoil this sure broke one.....

Man the only interesting lesson of todae is my Microbio Practical lesson larhx.... it started at 3pm and ended at 5.30pm.... the first pract that overshot 2 hrs... hahax man i took my last week de Sacchromyces Cerevisiae (aka Yeast) 's "pure culture" and took a look.... did a 16 streak dilution and all da nice round colonies every where in my agar plate..... but suddenly i noticed sumthing.... there is one big fat alien colony on my plate!!! one whole complete colony of Mould are growing on my agar plate!! ohh man wished i could take a pic of it to show u guys.. nvm i did the 3rd streaking so nt week i will take a pic of it....... pls any kind soul, remind me when nt wed comes closer.... after today's practical i went to "kill" and exp my foreign body on my plate... found out that act moulds are bery tuff n hard to burn..... =x so yeah pls dun eat stale bread nt time..... dunno wad might be growing on it aleady....... hahahx

Its been so bz for me larhx the past 3 weeks....... finally da big day came on las sat and fri nite...
It has been a great success!! although we didnt hit our 20 new frenx mark, but at least we came close to it and we overshot our cellgroup attendence as well as our service attendence worx!! hahax finally sia!!! BREAKTHRU has come !!!

These few weeks like so bz lidat.... so long nve blog liaox........ now is 2.16am le..... kinda tired liaox but dunno y wanna blog suddenly...... feel that it is only gd tt i blog abt todae ba...

Since the start of the dae, have been quite excited larhx cos my long waited letter has juz arrived!! hahax....... but dunno when exactly it will reach arhx den keep going downstairs to "buy things" but act is shun bian go check out the letter box whether got my letter anot... went down at 11 plus but find tt the letter box was totally empty arhx... cos its been sumtime since anyone send letters to me so dunno whether our Singpost that efficient anot...

Medalene told me that the next working day they will send over liaox.... so i went back and patiently waitied.... when it was time for me to go over to boonlay to collect my tuition papers to mark, i went to see the letterbox again.... saw 2 white envelopes but it wasnt wad i was trying to find...... den underneath it was the oNe!! hahax tt pink letter !! From Medalene.... hahax =xXx

It was a real touchy letter larh... hahax wrote when she was in sch, at hm i tink alot of places ba..
waited so long for that letter but i think its worthwhile after reading it.... she even wrote a song larhx... hahax so nice arhx....... got lyrics anot one arh? hahax if gt can play for ya!!

While i was happily reading da letter on bus 60, suddenly rmb that i have to call the tution teacher one hr b4 i reach there... i called him and to my surprise, he told me his not at hm and will not be back by 6pm.... its like huh? i am aleady out of my hse on my wae liaox.... den 6pm gt bible study at YMCA marhx... den he arranged me to go his hse at 8 plus... i argeed .... but at that time was wae too early to go YMCA, so i decided to go play LAN!!! at Asteroids....

yoyo!!! Finally back after the fustrating exp of losing my posting which i spent 1.5hrs to do gone even though i save it as a draft..... hahax but i decided to come back arh... gt 2 loyal supporters like Liting n Medalene...... so bo bian hafta blog back le... =x

Hey.... finally came back to sg liaox...

I tink the trip was better den expected ba... tot it will be very boring cos my uncles n aunties will all be working and there wont be any adults around to drive me out... Stayed at my young cousins hse thruout these 4 daes or so... tot their com was still the old n outdated com but it wasnt arh... they changed their com juz 2 daes b4 i reach KL... hahax as if the com came juz for me.. =x So i kinda remain connected to sg thru my cousin hse com and did quite alot of things for them arhx.... Download anime, help them get connect to Lancraft and also help my uncle to do his company profile as he is fighting for the tender of a big Project about over 1million over dollars arhx... Hope he can win the tender den my cousins will lead a gd life again... hahax

Ohh yeah.... i went over to the Jalan Petaling on sat morning, their form of bugis street arhx.. i tink tts the only place where clothes, shoes are worth buying ba... KL's all the shopping complex like mid valley, megamall, wad times sq and KLCC all cannot mk it one... go there buy things is wasting ur money ba... even after conversion of currency also still chao exp de.... my uncle drove me there, but u noe rite, KL is the most jam up city in SEA larhx... the cars so dumb cheap n lousy over there.... even their toyota cars they import is made in indonesia one... wad Avanza n Inova.... look so like oversized vans..... hahax i tink we are bery fortuanate in sg ba... have a very open car market... all sorts of gd continental n asian cars are available to us... Jam so badly that a 30min drive will take as 2 hrs to reach... so we decided to go on another route... tk the LRT of KL, called wad "Rapid KL" ... hahax not every confident about the name of the LRT....

My uncle n i, it was the first time we took on this uncertain voyage on this KL's finest Train system over there... we were bery blur la when we reach the station control station... he went n ask how to tk the train, how much we need to pay to get there n stuff.... there is one Big reason y i dunn like going to KL cos i dunno wad the hack they are toking abt alwaes.... none of the malays there understood much english.... when out to eat n stuff, i couldnt order anything larhx cos the malays there couldnt understand wad i was toking about...the rest of the blog from here onwards was cut off by this stupid blogspot larhx.... haf was gone together wif my pic... dam sianx larhx.... dun feel like blogging anymore liaox....wrote over thousands of words all gone... save draft will delete haf one mehx? sianx......

Wah....juz went downstairs help my mum buy bread.... den the air so cooling tonite worx!!! hao shuang worx when i walked down..... so refreshing.... felt so much to hugg sumone... but den when can i meet her? hahax nvm i tink i tink too much le.....

Edwin also woke up late den 12pm den reach... went to the citylink wif shan go find his "beloved" Addidas shirt.....reach tt shop le n found that shirt..... but it is like......$89.... for that retro version of addidas logo....that 3 leaves kind .... so lame lah even can afford it also wun bother buy lorhx..

Wad a wae to start my morning larhx hor....

Woke up and on my lappy n started to go online to find things to do... u noe hols dumb sianx de..
when we in sch we want hols so badly, den come liaox like too much time dunno wad to do with it.... hahax ... I was greeted by a shout from my mum..... cos i didnt eat breakfast b4 i go use my com...... den i dunno y suddenly shouted her back....... dunno y i so easily lose my temper.... although she is nt rite in da beginning larhx, but aint i suppose to respect her n ren??? All my ren gong go where liaox?? Den that lead to a big big fight again..... Come to tink of it, its like a routine to hear my mum scream at me at home.... esp during the hols when i spend more time at home...... she has a wae of thinking totally opposite of mines therefore we alwaes end up clashing head on...... It hurts larhx serious......

And it went on so serious that my mum wants me to get out of the house.. i was like so fustrated that i broke into tears...... its like how long since i cried? many mths ago le ba.... but that also during another fight with my mum....... b4 that its like years never cry liaox larhx... i tink she is the only person around now who can make me cry ba....... i admit i dun show my love to my mum de.... but do love her arhx.... but she cant feel it.... But the "yi shi de chong dong" alwaes get me into trouble..... My mum is like in her 50s so yeah Menopause.........That dreaded thingy........... making my life at hm miserable!!! I tink tts y these few years like more n more big fights with my mum le...... she blows up so frequently that if a single dae without doing that, it would have been a great dae for my whole family....... but nevertheless she is still my mum... will ren no matter at wad cost....... I juz hope i dun hurt her wif my words ever again.....

The first 2 person that came to my rescue is Liting and Medalene arhx.... hahax alwaes them de without fail....... how can i ever live a dae without u 2?? Liting was in sch when i told her about wad i was going thru..... she herself is fustrated in sch cos her project partners all like playing but she is drawing everything herself??? haix........although the both of us are so drained up... we still pei each other thruout the dae n tried to pick each other up as we go on with life...

Juz finished my exams de las paper yesterdae.....

Was totally bluffed upside down by my Organic Biochem lecturer...... sae wad 50% organic n 50% biochem...... but come out 70% organic chem n 30% biochem...... i went to focus on biochem and i lost 26marks cos of that.... dam pissed with her!!! Those 1.1 students in BIO n BME pls watch out for her as she is a sly bugger!!!!!! All out to set papers to fail us one!!!! Trusted her again n again n yet she cheated us again n again.......... dumb bugger!!!!

Forget it...... the whole of Sem one is over liaox..... Now conc on my hols!! hahax...... The first thing i did for the hols is to go over my sec sch fren hse to ton overnite watch anime n dota !! hahax act dam shag la, but it was fun ba...... watched bleach n Naruto...... Paul really took gd care of me larhx thruout the nite b4.... hahax cooked noodles at midnite n his mum booked lunch for us..... coolx sia thx man!!!
